Venues

Every event has to happen at a venue, this is where the list of venues is located and where you can create new venues. 

Create a New Venue

Enter Venue Name.

Enter Venue Subtitle. (Optional)

Enter Venue Phone Number.  (Optional)

Enter Venue Website.  (Optional)

Enter Venue Topics.

SIDEARM

SIDEARM clients utilizing our Auto Pilot Event Sync are required to add ALL sports that take place at this venue as venue topics. We will not be able to sync your SIDEARM site's event calendar without all possible venue topics being in place. For example, if this is your Outdoor Track & Field venue, please add the following Venue Topics: Track & Field, Outdoor Track, Men's Track & Field, and Women's Track & Field. This will ensure that we are able to assign the venue to all of the proper events.

Enter Venue Description.  (Optional)

Enter Venue Address.

Click Get Lat/Lng from Google button to verify the GPS location.

Adjust the Checkin Radius for your venue’s needs.

Assign beacons to the venue, if applicable, by checking the box next to the corresponding beacons.  (Optional)

Check the boxes for any beacons, if applicable, to make them Checkin-enabled beacons.  (Optional)

Assign to venue group, if applicable.  (Optional)

Upload venue photo.

Click “Create Venue” to create and save the venue.

Tip

If you are creating a venue for an inside arena or stadium, know that a member’s GPS location can be thrown off while inside, so it may make some sense to make your Checkin Radius a little larger than the arena itself. 

Beacons can also help with ensuring members are able to checkin to an event while inside the arena.

Note

All fields that are not required (subtitle, phone number, website, etc.) are used if utilizing our Map Feature.
