Creating Lotteries

Our lottery feature allows for users to enter to win tickets to attend events. Whether that is to fairly fill your student section each game, or only be utilized for those high demand, low inventory events, this feature provides a user friendly entry experience. Users can enter to win, transfer their winning ticket, or even cancel their entry or ticket claim. This feature automatically draws winners based on the lottery settings you set, with lots of flexibility including allowing users to enter as a group. Creating a lottery is very easy and more details can be found below!

Once enabled, you're able to select the group sizing. You are able to allow for multiple group sizes, but must enable the various size groups toggle to do so.

If you only have triples and individual entry enabled, users will only be able to enter as an individual or a group of three by entering the email addresses of the other two users they'd like to attend with. With these example settings, users would not be able to enter as a pair.

Entry, Cancellation, & Transfers

1
Enter the dates and times you'd like this lottery to be live for entry.
2
Once enabled, you're able to select the group sizing. You are able to allow for multiple group sizes, but must enable the various size groups toggle to do so.
3
Enter the number of winning pairs, triples, or quads you'd like drawn.

Note

If you're looking to allow users to cancel, but not transfer their ticket after the lottery is drawn, then you should set the transfer start and end to the same timestamp as the cancel end.

If you're looking to allow users to transfer, but not cancel their ticket after the lottery is drawn, then you should set the cancel start and end to the same timestamp as the transfer end.

If you do not want to allow users to transfer or cancel their ticket after the lottery is drawn, you have two options. First, if you'd like to keep your lottery card in the pending lotteries phase and display additional details, then you should set the cancel and transfer start and end timestamps to the same future date and time. Second, if you'd like this lottery card to move straight to past lotteries, then you should set the cancel and transfer start and end to the same timestamp as the entries end.
