If your program has beacons, these push notifications fire automatically when a mobile-enabled member walks into the range of a beacon you've linked.
Open Beacon Notifications here — find it in the admin under Communications › Beacon Notifications.
Each row shows whether the notification is Active, its Message, the Beacon Groups that trigger it, the Points it awards, and the Delay (m) before it sends. Edit and Delete sit at the end of the row.
Click New Notification and fill in the Push Template card:
1. Message — up to 140 characters. HTML and special characters aren't supported. You can use these tokens: {{points_awarded}}, {{points_total}}, {{points_available}}.
2. Points to Award — optional. Leave it at 0 for none.
3. Send Delay (minutes) — send this many minutes after the member triggers it.
4. Active — Yes or No.
Then, in the Trigger Beacon Groups card, tick the groups this notification should fire for. It sends when a member enters the range of any beacon in the groups you select. Each group shows how many beacons it contains.
Click Create Notification. (On an existing one the button reads Save Changes.)
Once a notification is saved, a Send Test Push card appears at the foot of its edit page. It sends the notification to a single device so you can sanity-check it. It defaults to your own fan account, matched by your admin email — or enter a teammate's user_id, email or username.
