An Outbound Link is a custom page that sends fans somewhere else instead of showing content of its own. Build them at Design & Content › Custom Pages in the admin.
1. Click New Page. That opens the New Custom Page form.
2. At the top of the first card is the Page type toggle. Switch it to Outbound link — it opens another site. This is what you want when you're adding something to the menu that links out to another website.
3. Title. There's no page to put a title on, so this is really for your own reference — but it does need to be filled in.
4. Link text. This is what fans tap in the menu or footer, and it's case sensitive. Leave it blank and the Title is used.
5. Destination URL. The full address you're sending fans to, including https://. Fans are sent there in a new tab instead of seeing a page in the app. The address also has to be unique within your program.
The Page content editor disappears as soon as you choose Outbound link — there's no content to write, only a destination.
The narrow card beside the link details holds three settings:
Published — the link is live. It starts unticked, so nothing goes out until you say so. With it off the app won't serve this page at all, so its links disappear and its address stops working.
Show in footer — adds its link to the footer row at the bottom of the app's menu, where Privacy Policy and Terms sit.
Logged-in only — saved, but the apps don't act on it yet, so it stays reachable to signed-out fans either way. Use Published when you actually need it down.
Allow users by tag. Tick this and add Allow list tags. The link is then available to any member carrying at least one of those tags; members without one won't see it.
Block users by tag. Tick this and add Block list tags. The link won't be shown to any member carrying one of those tags. The block list beats the allow list — a member with both an allowed and a blocked tag won't see it.
Membership levels (none = all). Add the levels that should have access. Leave it empty and it's open to all levels.
6. Click Create Page.
