This guide covers Coupons in the admin: creating a coupon, adding individual codes, bulk generating, and importing codes from a file.
Access Coupons here in the admin.
The page holds two tables.
Coupons — every coupon, with ID, Name, Codes, Redeemed, Created By, Created, and Actions (Edit, View, Delete). Sort by ID, Name, or Created, and search with Search coupons.
Coupon Codes — the most recent codes across all coupons, with Code, Coupon Name, Redemptions, and Actions. Use Search codes to find a specific one.
Click + New Coupon to open the coupon form.
1. Name — a descriptive internal name, e.g. "STH26Concession". This is required.
2. Redemptions per Code — the maximum number of times a single code can be redeemed. Set it to 0 for unlimited.
3. Description — notes about the coupon. Optional
4. Discount Group — attach the coupon to an existing discount group. Optional
5. Redemption Restriction — tie the coupon to a Redemption Restriction to limit where or how it's used: specific SKUs, locations, events, POS systems, or time windows. Optional
6. Discount Type — pick one:
Code — use when the discount is programmed into the POS and referred to by Fanmaker. The POS handles the discount logic; Fanmaker passes the code through. Enter that code in POS Code, matching your POS exactly.
Order / Cart — a percentage or dollar amount off the whole order.
SKU — a percentage or amount off a particular SKU. Pick the item in Target SKU.
7. For Order and SKU types, set the Amount Off. The button beside the field flips between % OFF and $ OFF.
8. Max Discount ($) — an optional ceiling. Leave it at 0 for no cap.
9. Redemption Limit — an optional overall cap on redemptions. Leave it at 0 for unlimited.
10. Restrict to POS — bind the coupon to one point of sale system, or leave it on All POS.
While creating a coupon (not when editing one), you can ask for codes up front: enter a number in Generate Bulk Codes and that many codes are auto-generated on save. Set it to 0 to add codes manually afterwards.
11. Click Create Coupon.
Codes are managed from the coupon's own page. Click View on the coupon's row to open it. Three tiles at the top show Total Codes, Fully Redeemed, and Available, and the Coupon Codes table lists every code with its Scan Code, User, Status, and Created date.
There are three ways to add codes:
1. Generate them on create — enter a number in Generate Bulk Codes on the new coupon form.
2. Add a single code — on the coupon's page, click Add Code. Type a Scan Code or leave the field blank to auto-generate one, then click Add Code.
3. Import a CSV — on the coupon's page, click Import CSV, choose your file, and click Upload & Queue Import. Each row creates a new code attached to that coupon. The import runs in the background.
Each code's row has an Edit action, where you can change the Scan Code or tick Mark as fully redeemed, and a Delete action.
Coupons can be handed out as a Digital Code Delivered prize. When setting up a prize item, choose the Digital Code delivery method and upload the same CSV you used to create your coupon codes. Individual codes are then delivered automatically to members on redemption — an easy way to reward fans with unique, single-use POS discount codes.
