Subscription plans let members buy their way into a membership level. You’ll find them in Settings › Memberships & Billing › Subscription Plans.
Paid plans need a Stripe account connected to your program. Go to Settings › Connections and open the Stripe tab. Payments run through Stripe Connect, which links your own Stripe account so Fanmaker can charge orders on your behalf. If your site still uses legacy API keys, contact [email protected] to migrate.
Once Stripe is configured, you can begin creating subscription plans. The Subscription Plans table displays all existing plans for your program including:
Name — The display name of the plan as it appears to members.
Price — The cost of the plan in dollars.
Plan Type — Whether the plan is Static (fixed date range) or Dynamic (interval-based, rolling from purchase date).
Starts / Ends — The date range during which the plan is active (applies to Static plans).
Interval — For Dynamic plans, how frequently the plan renews (e.g., every 1 month).
Available From / Available Until — The window during which members can purchase the plan.
View & Delete — Options to edit or delete an existing plan.
To create a new subscription plan, click the + New Plan button at the top right of the Subscription Plans section.
1. Name — The name of the subscription plan. This is what members will see when browsing available plans. Choose a name that is clear and reflects the tier or benefit level (e.g., "Gold Membership," "Season Pass").
2. Price — The dollar amount members will be charged for this plan. Leave blank or set to 0 for free plans. For paid plans, ensure your Stripe account is fully connected and live keys are in place.
3. Membership Level Granted — Optionally associate this subscription plan with a Membership Level defined in your program. When a member purchases this plan, they will automatically be assigned to the selected membership level.
4. Plan Term — This setting determines how the subscription's duration is calculated.
Static — A Static plan has a fixed start and end date that applies to all members equally, regardless of when they purchase. Use Static when you want all subscribers to share the same active period.
Dynamic — A Dynamic plan's duration is calculated from the date of each individual member's purchase. Use Dynamic for ongoing, recurring subscription models. When Dynamic is selected, two additional fields appear:
Interval Quantity — The number of interval units per renewal cycle (e.g., "1" for monthly, "3" for quarterly).
Interval Type — The unit of time: Days, Weeks, Months, or Years.
5. Membership Starts At / Ends At — The date range during which member access is valid. These fields apply primarily to Static plan types.
6. Prize One / Prize Two — Optionally associate up to two prizes from your program's prize store with this subscription plan. Subscribers who purchase this plan will receive these prizes as part of their membership benefits.
Ship Item — For each prize, there is a Ship Prize One/Two (vs. in-person pickup) checkbox. If the prize is a physical item that needs to be shipped to the member, check this box to flag the order for fulfillment.
7. Availability Start / Availability End — These fields control the purchase window — the period during which members can buy this subscription plan. This is separate from the plan's active date range.
8. Required level to purchase — Choose the membership level a member must already hold in order to be eligible to purchase this plan, so it can only be purchased by members who are upgrading from an existing subscription or membership level.
9. Description — A free-text field where you can describe the subscription plan and its benefits. Use this space to highlight what's included — points bonuses, exclusive prizes, early access, and so on.
10. Features — Add a Bulleted List of Plan Features
11. Click Create Plan to create the subscription plan.
