Digital Code Delivery is a fulfillment method that allows you to automatically deliver a unique redemption code to each member who redeems a prize. Instead of shipping a physical item or manually distributing codes, Fanmaker handles the distribution for you - each redeeming member receives their own code instantly upon redemption.
Digital Code Delivery can be paired with any redemption method (Spend Points, Unlock with Points, Credit Card, or Credit Card or Spend Points). For more on redemption methods, see Redemption Methods & Delivery Types.
How It Works
You setup or collect a set of unique redemption codes from your team store, a partner, or any other source.
You upload a file containing those codes into Fanmaker when creating or editing the prize item.
Each time a member redeems the item, they are automatically assigned the next available code from the list.
The member receives their code and can enter it into the relevant app, website, or store to claim their reward.
Once all codes have been distributed, the item is automatically marked as out of stock.
Setting Up Digital Code Delivery
When creating a prize item, select Digital Code Delivery as your delivery method and upload your code file.
Codes must be imported in a single column CSV file with the header of “code” as the first line - one unique code per line.
Each code can only be distributed once. FanMaker tracks which codes have been used and always issues the next available one.
The quantity shown on the item will automatically reflect the number of unused codes remaining.
What to Use It For
Digital Code Delivery works for any prize that can be fulfilled with a code. Common uses include:
Team store gift cards or coupons — Offer fans a discount or credit at your online or in-venue store.
Partner promo codes — Distribute codes provided by a sponsor or partner for their app, website, or store.
Food & beverage discounts — Deliver single-use concession codes redeemable at your venue.
Exclusive content access — Grant fans access to behind-the-scenes content, digital downloads, or members-only experiences.
Working with Partners
If codes are being provided by a sponsor or partner, there are a few things to align on before building the item in Fanmaker:
Confirm the total number of codes available so you can plan your quantities accordingly.
Verify expiration dates and any usage restrictions on the codes.
Ensure codes are provided in a clean list format, one per line, ready to upload.
