Deactivated Members

Deactivate members without losing their data, and restore them later

Deactivating a member locks them out of your program and removes them from your active member counts, while keeping their points, history and profile. Deactivated members can be restored at any time.

Where to find it

Members › Deactivated members

https://app.fanmaker.com/admin/members/deleted

The Deactivated members link sits under the member count at the top of the Members list.

Deactivate, Delete or Purge

All three options are on a member's Manage tab.

  • Deactivate Member: locks the member out but keeps all of their data. Can be restored.

  • Delete Member: permanently deletes the member and their data from your program. Cannot be undone.

Tip: If you aren't sure a member is gone for good, such as a season ticket holder who didn't renew, deactivate rather than delete.

Deactivating a Member

  1. Find the user profile from Members and go to the Manage tab.

  2. In Deactivate Member, enter a Reason (optional). It appears in the Notes column of the Deactivated Members list.

  3. Click Deactivate Member.

To deactivate many members at once, use the Deactivate Members import. See Import Type: Deactivate Members.

The Deactivated Members List

Each row shows the member's Name, User ID, Member ID, the date they were Deactivated and any Notes. Members deactivated by import show "Bulk deactivation, import #…" in Notes.

Search by email, name, User ID or Member ID.

Restoring a Member

  1. Go to Members › Deactivated members.

  2. Search for the member.

  3. Click Restore.

The member can sign in again right away, with their points and history intact.
