Multiple Live Events in Happening Now

How the app displays events that are live at the same time

When more than one event is live at once, such as a doubleheader or two games on the same night, Happening Now shows each one as a card that fans can swipe through.

How It Works

An event appears in Happening Now while its check-in or Watch window is open. All-day events don’t appear. Events with overlapping windows appear together as cards in start-time order, and the deck opens on the event the fan is checked in to.

Fans check in or tap I’m Watching from the card for the event they’re at. Fans can check in to more than one overlapping event.

Watch limits: A fan who is checked in to one event can’t tap Watch on another event whose Watch window overlaps it. Only an in-person check-in (GPS or ticket scan) counts. A check-in at an event that runs 24 hours or longer doesn’t block Watch. It only works in one direction: a fan who is already watching one event can still check in to another. A fan also can’t use Watch on an event they’ve already checked in to. When a card is blocked this way, it’s greyed out with a note explaining why.

Note: Events with no GPS check-in (ticket scan only) show a card only once the fan has been scanned, is watching, or their Watch window is open.

Tip: Give each event a clear title and image so fans can tell the cards apart. If an event is in-person only, turn Watch off on it so fans aren't offered both options.
