What is CrowdCameo?
Award points to fans for uploading a fan photo to the gallery of the event they are attending or watching.
This feature can be toggled on and off per event. It can be administered via an auto-approve function where all photos are being placed live in the event after submission or via manual approval where an Admin is approving each photo manually.
Tip -
If you are using Auto-Approve we suggest you turn on "Remove Reported Images" which would allow for images to be removed after users flag the image twice. This is helpful if you don't plan on Administering the feature manually as it still leaves an ability for inappropriate images to be removed promptly. If you are using manual Approve, you will need to move items from the Pending bucket to either an approved, featured or rejected state. More information on this help Doc - CrowdCameo Dashboard
Regardless of your method, points are given to the user immediately after submission, and regardless if the photo ends up being approved or rejected.
Best Practices
- Include a presenting sponsor in the title of each gallery and their logo as a photo within each gallery.
- Award fans a set amount of points (say 50) for each image they upload. Use the images that are uploaded to each event’s gallery as content in the arena on the video board using our BigScreen integration.
- For a Kids Club Program encourage the feature with a "Kids Club Member" of the game you can promote on your videoboard.
- For an away game watch promotion, do a special "Pet Night" CrowdCameo where fans can submit photos of their pets for points.
