Ticketing: SeatGeek

What we need from you to connect SeatGeek and reward purchases, attendance and loaded tickets

Fanmaker connects to SeatGeek (Ringside) to sync your ticket sales, scans and loaded tickets continuously. Once Fanmaker connects your account, everything runs automatically. You just tell us how you want fans rewarded. For an overview of every provider, see
Ticketing Overview.

What SeatGeek Can Do

  • Purchases: fans earn points for ticket sales, based on the scoring rules you choose.

  • Attendance: fans earn attendance points when their tickets are scanned.

  • Loaded tickets: ticket barcodes can carry loaded value fans can spend at your point of sale.

Connection Details

  • SeatGeek contact: the name and email of your SeatGeek account contact, so we can coordinate access to your Ringside data.

  • Which features you want: purchases, attendance and/or loaded tickets.

Purchase Scoring Decisions

Send us one set of answers for each reward you want to set up.

  • Points per dollar: points are based on the sale’s total price, rounded down. A sale only earns points once it’s paid in full, and points are removed if a sale is later refunded or cancelled.

  • Which events count: send us your event names, one per line, and tell us how they should match:

    • Exact: the name matches exactly

    • Starts with: useful when the SeatGeek name adds a suffix. For example, “WLD - 60919CHI” also matches “WLD - 60919CHI - Preseason”.

    • Contains: the name appears anywhere in the event name

  • Item types (optional): single-game Tickets and Subscriptions (season / multi-event packages) count by default. Let us know if you also want Resale, Transfer, Membership, Merchandise, Gift Voucher, Donation or Delivery items to earn.

  • Sale Types (optional): Sale is on by default, and Returns / cancellations claw points back automatically within the 1-year scoring window; older sales keep their score as-is. Let us know if you also want Returns or Reservations to earn.

  • Price types, price type groups or price levels (optional): limit the reward to certain pricing, such as “Full Season Renewal”, “Season” or price level “A”. Use the names as they’re set up in your SeatGeek account.

  • Product IDs (optional): Ringside product_id — one UUID per line. This is what the rule actually scores on. Can be edited later to cover missed IDs or drop one it shouldn't have caught.

  • Apply to past purchases? We can score purchases from the past year when a rule goes live, or apply it only to new purchases going forward.

Note: Returns and cancellations remove points automatically for sales within the past year.

Attendance

Attendance points come from each event’s attendance settings. Make sure each event is created in Events with attendance points set, and linked to its SeatGeek product on the event’s page.

Loaded Tickets

Loaded ticket value is funded at your point of sale based on your Loaded Ticket Types. Set these up under Point of Sale › Loaded Tickets.

What to Send Us

  • Which features you want: purchases, attendance, loaded tickets

  • For each purchase rule: points per dollar, event names and match type, item types, any price types/groups/levels, and whether to apply it to the past year
